CERAMICS DAYS. Guided tour of the ceramicists’ studios of Klaipėda Old Town
On Saturday 8 August, 11.00–13.00, the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre (KCCC) invites you on a guided tour of the ceramicists’ studios of Klaipėda Old Town.
Do you know what lies behind the doors of the Old Town ceramics studios, and how ceramic pieces are born there? Join us on an inspiring journey through the ceramics studios working in Klaipėda Old Town: “Mo Molis”, “Namolis”, “Maži dalykai” and the creative space of the ceramicist Daiva Ložytė.
During the tour you will:
- visit four different ceramics studios;
- meet the ceramicists and hear the stories behind their work;
- hear about the finer points of the ceramicist’s craft, its techniques and the creative process;
- see how unique handmade ceramic pieces come into being;
- have the chance to ask questions, talk to the makers and draw inspiration.
This is a great opportunity to get to know the living creative community of Klaipėda Old Town, to discover authentic spaces and to come closer to the art of ceramics.
Everyone interested in ceramics, art and making is welcome!
The tour starts at the KCCC Exhibition Hall, Didžioji Vandens g. 2.
