CERAMICS DAYS. Creative workshop with MO MOLIS

On Thursday 6 August at 18.00, in the courtyard of the Exhibition Hall of the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre (KCCC) at Aukštoji g. 1, a creative workshop will take place with Monika Mišeikienė, ceramicist and founder of the ceramics studio MO MOLIS. The event is part of the CERAMICS DAYS series.

During the workshop, in a welcoming space in Klaipėda Old Town, we will shape and decorate unique bowls with our own hands. The artist Monika Mišeikienė will guide the process.

Monika Mišeikienė is a ceramicist working in Klaipėda, in her studio MO MOLIS. Her work brings together natural earth colours, organic forms and the warmth of handmade objects. The artist is inspired by the slow process of making and by the thought that every vessel she creates finds its own place — becoming not just an object but a part of everyday life.

No experience needed — what matters is curiosity and a willingness to try.

ABOUT THE EVENT SERIES “CERAMICS DAYS”

From 5 to 8 August the KCCC organises a series of ceramics events seeking to reveal the art of ceramics from historical, artistic and practical perspectives — that is, to introduce the people of Klaipėda and the city’s guests to local ceramicists, to the history of ceramics in Klaipėda and to the role of ceramics in the context of contemporary art.

The series comprises: 1. lectures on ceramics in the context of traditional and contemporary art; 2. ceramics workshops for adults; 3. ceramics workshops for people with disabilities; 4. visits and tours of ceramicists’ studios.
