Creative workshop “Draw / Flip! Making a flipbook” with Pijus Čeikauskas-Pidžinas

On Saturday 16 May at 12.00, the creative workshop “Draw / Flip! Making a flipbook” with Pijus Čeikauskas-Pidžinas will take place at Bažnyčių g. 4. The event is part of the Book Art Festival programme.

We invite you to a playful workshop in which drawings come to life! We will create animation on the flipbook principle — drawing on sheets of paper and then, by flipping them quickly, turning them into a moving story.

No experience is needed here — only curiosity, imagination and a willingness to experiment.

About the workshop leader:

Pijus Čeikauskas-Pidžinas was born in Vilnius (1995) and formed as an artist in Klaipėda.

BA in Animation and Photography, Vilnius Academy of Arts, 2017;

MA in Graphic Art, Vilnius Academy of Arts, 2021;

Silver Crane award for the short animated film “MORA MORA”, 2022;

Since 2022 he has curated the programme of the Artojo Street art park. He does not confine himself to a single artistic discipline (animation, graphic design, wood panels, murals, comics and more), but is currently most involved in street art.
