Lindy Hop dance evening at the KCCC with “Jazz Fam”

On Wednesday 10 June at 18.00, a “Lindy Hop” dance evening with “Jazz Fam” will take place in the courtyard of the Exhibition Hall of the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre (KCCC), Aukštoji g. 1.

Lindy Hop is a high-spirited dance that emerged in 1920s Harlem out of African American jazz rhythms and is danced all over the world with no age limit. Swing dances captivate with their freedom, their charming jazz music, their scope for improvisation and their long history.

And the “Jazz Fam” Lindy Hop community is strong and large: it knows how to swing and it keeps the culture of swing dancing alive in the port city.

In the KCCC Exhibition Hall courtyard they promise a real party! There will be performances and an introductory lesson, after which you will be able to join the dancers with more confidence. Feel the joy of dance, or simply come along to listen to high-spirited jazz, blues and rock’n’roll.

The event is free and requires no registration.
