URBAN. Street art festival
On 4 August, 14.00–17.00, the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre (KCCC) invites you to the free street art festival “URBAN”, taking place at the Interactive Summer Reading Room in Sąjūdis Park, by the Church of St Joseph the Worker (Smiltelės g. 27, Klaipėda). The event is for everyone who wants to spend time creatively and get to know contemporary street culture more closely.
Visitors can look forward to enjoyable creative activities. Together with the street artist Pidžinas you will be able to try graffiti with spray paint. Pidžinas (Pijus Čeikauskas) is known both for his highly recognisable drawing style and as an organiser of street art projects encouraging young people to make street art legally. The organisers will also invite you to decorate a T-shirt you bring along, make cloth bags, and produce badges and stickers. A DJ will set the atmosphere, and fans of active leisure will be able to watch and try parkour tricks themselves.
Besides the creative activities, there will be plenty of music, refreshments, competitions, prizes and other surprises, letting visitors feel the living pulse of the city’s culture and its sense of community.
The event is organised by the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre.
Event partner — the Kalnupė branch of the Immanuel Kant Public Library of Klaipėda City Municipality.
The event is free of charge.
The organisers advise that the event will be photographed and filmed, so participants may appear in publicly shared visual material.
